The pronouns of Occidental-Ie. . . .

3. There is no accusative in Occidental-Ie EXCEPT in the pronouns where special forms are used as the object of verbs:-

NOM. yo (I), tu (thou), il (he), ella (she), it (it), noi (we) vu (you), ili (they)

ACC. me (me), te (thee), le (him), la (her), it (it), nos (us), vos (you), les (them)

There should be little difficulty as English usage is almost exactly the same:-

Yo ama la - I love her
Ella ama me - She loves me
Tu admira le - Thou admirest him
Il admira te - He admires thee
Ili odia vos - They hate you
Vu odia les - You hate them

4. These “oblique” forms of the pronouns can also be used for the dative as well if no doubt or difficulty arises. The dative is usually expressed in English by the use of “to”, e.g. “he gave the bone to the dog”. “Bone” is called the direct object and “dog” the indirect object. Another example is “He gave it to me”, but sometimes we simply say: “He gave it me”. We can do this in Occidental-Ie as well:-

Il dat it a me
(or) Il dat it me
